ALBANY, GA (WALB) –  The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service is offering a reward for information about three endangered Whooping Cranes found shot to death in Calhoun County.

Eight different wildlife agencies pooled resources to offer the $12,500.00 reward. Scientists say the cranes were shot sometime before December 30th.

They were discovered by several hunters. This was first migration from Wisconsin to Florida for those cranes. They were banded and equipped with transmitters.
