ALBANY, GA (WALB) – 28-year-old Phillip Connor plead guilty this morning to aggravated assault with intent to commit rape and was sentenced to serve 25 years in prison, 25 years probation, and is banished from Dougherty County for life.

He was charged with more than 50 counts of rape, aggravated assault, kidnapping, false imprisonment, and impersonating a police officer.

The SWAT team stormed his home on South Street March 18, 2009 and arrested him. Prosecutors say over nine months,

Connor approached prostitutes and other street people saying he was a narcotics officer, took them to wooded areas, pulled a gun or knife, and raped them.
