ALBANY, GA (WALB) - Albany State head football coach Mike White has been named Heritage Sports Radio Network's Division II National Coach of the Year.

White earning the honor after leading the Rams to the SIAC title, an unbeaten regular season and to the quarterfinals of the NCAA DII playoffs.

The Rams finished 11-1.

Coach White thanked his staff and players who he says are the reasons why he won the award.
