THOMASVILLE, GA (WALB) –An early morning traffic stop resulted in the arrest of two Thomas County teens for possession of pot and a stolen gun.
Sheriff's deputies pulled over 18-year old Treyon Rushton's car after noticing a headlight was out.
A strong smell of marijuana prompted a search of the vehicle.
Deputies found a loaded stolen .380 caliber pistol in Rushton's back pocket.
Rushton is charged with theft by receiving a stolen firearm and possession of marijuana.
His passenger 18-year old Demetri Sexion is charged with giving a false name and possession of marijuana with intent to distribute.
