ALBANY, GA (WALB) –  A world wide web site that puts the things you want to do, eat, and buy on sale is now in Albany.

Groupon kicked off Monday with a deal offered by Michael's Gillionville Barbeque. The deal was extended through Tuesday because of Monday's ice storm. Owner Jim Tippins says so much of what people do is on-line, so he put his business there too. He feels certain if he can get customers through the door once, they'll come back.

"What I'm hoping to do is people will see that, that maybe haven't tried my food, or haven't thought about trying my food and they'll come in and try it and I'm hoping next time they come, they'll pay full price," said Jim Tippins, Michael's Gillionville Barbeque.

Tippins says the nice thing about his offer is that customers don't have to redeem the Groupon right now, they can do it any time this year. Both his Groupon and one for Albany Therapeutic Massage run through 11:00 PM Tuesday. The deals change everyday.
