Thieves take $30,000 in pipes

CLINCH COUNTY, GA (WALB) –Metal thieves took $30,000 worth of pipes.

When Don Rae of Clinch County saw pipes that looked like his on the back of a truck, he followed it down Highway 84 Friday.

Deputies stopped the truck at the Lanier County line.

Rae's stepson, Dwayne Willis, jumped out the truck and ran.

Investigators caught him quickly and charged him with theft by taking, theft by receiving stolen property, and obstruction.

The driver of the truck, Winston Delk, was also arrested.

Investigators later arrested Jessie Sutton.

They're both charged with theft by receiving stolen property.
