Man struck and killed on south Georgia highway - WALB.com, Albany News, Weather, Sports

IRWIN COUNTY, GA (WALB) – Right now, Georgia State Troopers remain at the scene of a fatal accident on a south Georgia highway.

A little after 7 o'clock Thursday night, officials say an Irwin County deputy pulled over on Georgia Highway 32 at Lotus Road to check a car on the side of the road.

The driver then stepped into traffic and was fatally struck by a tractor trailer.

We know the man was in his 50's, but do not know his name because his relatives have not been notified.
