ALBANY, GA (WALB) –The arrest of a 10th suspect in a gang initiation beating death will likely delay the trial of the other suspects.

30 year old Jason Staples was arrested Tuesday.

Police say he's a member of the Black Gangsta Disciples and took part in the beat down of Reginald Richardson.

Richardson died from the injuries he sustained during gang intimation.

District Attorney Greg Edwards said the trial was close to being set for later this year, but now he will have to re-indict the entire case to include Staples.

"If the individual is going to secure an attorney, the attorney has to be brought into the situation, and we will probably have to reschedule to reevaluate the status of the case", said Edwards.

Investigators say they have been searching for Staples for months. He was working at Sowega Financial Services on Gillionville Road as a security guard, when Police arrested him Tuesday. The D.A. said there could be more arrests in the gang murder.
