ALBANY, GA (WALB) – A former Dougherty County Assistant Police Chief loses his lawsuit against former Dougherty District Attorney Ken Hodges.
Woody Hart claimed Hodges violated his constitutional rights by ordering him to state prison after he finished serving a federal prison sentence on bribery and perjury convictions.
Most of the suit against Hodges was tossed out last year because prosecutors can't be sued for doing their jobs.
Part of the suit against Hodges and two prison officials went forward.
On Monday, Federal Judge Louis Sands ruled in their favor.
