Albany's first New Years Day baby

ALBANY, GA (WALB) – Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital is turning 100 years old later this year, but they started the celebration on New Years Day with a special delivery.

They'll be giving away centennial blankets to all the babies born at the hospital in 2011.

Baby Zyron Christopher Hodge, received the first one. He was born at 12:53 Saturday morning and is Albany's New Years baby.

Babies born AT Phoebe-Sumter will also get the blankets. Phoebe hospitals delivers about 3,000 thousand babies each year.
