LEE COUNTY, GA (WALB) – Some young people got a chance to skate and help those in need of food this holiday season.

Thursday was the Skate "N" Donate Food Drive at the Star Dust Skate Center on Ledo Road.

Those who brought canned foods to donate to the Second Harvest Food Bank of South Georgia got a discount on admission.

"I believe their normal price is $6 if they bring a can good they'll come in for $3," said Antron Patton, Organizer.

The food drive was organized by the youth ministry of River Road Church and the owners of Star Dust.

Organizers plan to host other events like this in the future.
