UGA Associate Athletic director Claude Felton has told WALB News 10 Sports Thursday via e-mail that junior linebacker Nick Williams has been given permission to talk to other schools about the possibility of transferring.
Williams has bounced around the Bulldogs defense from safety to linebacker during his three years at Georgia.
He started the 2010 season as a candidate to start at safety but saw very limited action in just eight games.
There is a chance Williams could return for his senior season but will be granted his release if he decides to transfer.
