THOMASVILLE, GA (WALB) –An early morning patrol resulted in a Florida woman being caught red-handed trying to steal copper in Thomasville.

Officers say 53-year old Annie Lee Bush was attempting to lift copper from air conditioning units at the old Magnolia-Chappelle school property.

The area is being patrolled due to some recent copper thefts.

Bush is charged with possession of burglary tools, damage to public property, and larceny.

She bonded out of jail Thursday morning and has not been charged in connection to the other copper thefts.
