ALBANY, GA (WALB) – A man is being questioned in an incident that left a 3-year-old girl critically injured and on life support.
This afternoon investigators were called to apartment G-3 In 500 block of Swift Street. Around 10 o'clock Sunday morning, police tell us paramedics rushed the child to Phoebe Putney Hospital. She was then air lifted to a Macon hospital.
Right now the District Attorney's office looking into whether or not foul play was involved.
It isn't know how the child was injured or what prompted the investigation.
"While at the hospital, the child's condition became critical. At that point, the child was transported to Macon for further treatment. Detectives are questioning the adult who at custody of the child at the time," said APD Media Manager Phyllis Banks.
So far no charges have been filed and the child's name hasn't been released.
