ALBANY, GA (WALB) – A candlelight vigil at Veterans Park Amphitheater downtown Thursday night honored 24-year old Shereeka Oliver.  She was found in her Sands Drive apartment Sunday afternoon in medical distress and died a short time later.

Her cousin, Shon Oliver, said Shereeka was "very outgoing fun to be around, even in the short time we did spend together all we did was have fun."

Police initially thought Oliver's death was suspicious but later labeled it a natural death.

The Albany Tech student had no insurance, and people donated to help pay for her funeral. The family thanked those donors.  Oliver's funeral will be Wednesday. An account in her name at Suntrust Bank will accept donations through Tuesday.
