ALBANY, GA (WALB) - Albany State guard Symone Wilkerson has been honored by the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference.
Wilkerson has been named the SIAC's women's basketball player of the week.
The junior from Bonaire led the Lady Rams to wins over Claflin and Valdosta State last week.
Wilkerson scored 12 points in the win over Claflin and had 13 against the Lady Blazers.
The Albany State Lady Rams enter their Christmas break with a five game winning streak and are 3-0 in SIAC play.
The Lady Rams and Rams basketball teams are back in action on January 4th at Lane College.
It is the first of three straight conference games for both ASU basketball teams.
