ALBANY, GA (WALB) –  An Albany company is upholding the traditions of their founder by giving back to the community this Christmas.

SASCO Chemical Company partnered with the Boys and Girls Club of McIntosh Homes Unit to provide Christmas gifts for nine families. Company employees brought in new toys and the company helped put together a holiday meal with all of the trimmings for each family. Employees say it's been heart warming to help families who might have gone without.

"Carolyn LaSchober was the founder of SASCO Chemical group. It's a tradition that she's done for years and always wants to give back to the community as much as she could and the last couple of months the company got us together to collect gifts for nine families here in Albany that were selected," said Brian Davis SASCO Chemical Tech Sales Rep.

Bob Hutchinson of the Boys and Girls Club said the club tried to chose families who may not have had any Christmas without some help. SASCO employees brought their children along to help inspire the next generation to do the same and give back.
