FITZGERALD, GA (WALB) – A man wanted for murdering an Ocilla teen in a Monday afternoon drive-by shooting was arrested following a 20 minute standoff with police.

Investigators issued murder warrants Tuesday for 24-year-old Rondell Lamar Montgomery. Ben Hill County Sheriff's deputies and Fitzgerald Police officers tracked Montgomery to a home on West Pine Avenue in Fitzgerald.

Montgomery, who has been out of prison for less than 2 months, refused to come out. Officials say a friend was able to talk him out of the house and he was arrested without incident around 10 o'clock Tuesday night.

He is one of two suspects charged in the shooting dead of 19-year-old Matthew Mobley.

Ocilla Police arrested 20-year-old Terry Joe Cain on murder and aggravated assault charges.

He's being held in the Irwin County Detention Center without bond.

Police say Cain and Montgomery were behind a drive-by shooting in which they gunned down Mobley near crowded gas station in broad daylight as he walked along North Irwin Avenue.
