ALBANY, GA (WALB) – For the 11th year, Santa Claus (helped out by George Pressley) made a special visit to babies in the neonatal intensive care unit and other children at Phoebe Putney Hospital Monday night.

Santa's daughter, Beverly Pressley-Pafford, works with many of Phoebe's youngest patients as a respiratory therapist. "I actually work in the NICU," she said, "and I started getting Santa to come and bring t-shirts and gifts every year, and he visits each and every one. We take pictures and print them out."

The nurses put each baby's footprints on the Christmas t-shirt they got. Each family will also get a copy of their baby's picture with Santa Claus.

Santa raised eight healthy children of his own. He says the first year he visited the NICU, he left in tears. But he's gotten more comfortable holding these smallest boys and girls over the years, and he looks forward to visiting them each Christmas.
