ALBANY, GA (WALB) - Police are searching for two suspects after one shot and killed a store clerk in south Albany after 9:30 Friday night.

Police say they responded to a hold-up alarm at Miscelanea convenience store on Radium Springs road. Police say two black men, wearing ski masks, demanded money from the store clerk. When the 19-year-old Hispanic store clerk refused, the suspect shot and killed him. The other store clerk was not harmed.

He and the family are currently talking to police with assistance from a translator. The store in the Hispanic community has been robbed before, but not to this extent according to police.

Police are currently reviewing surveillance video for any leads. They urge people and businesses owners to keep their guards up through the holiday season.

If you have any information on this murder, call Albany Police or Crime Stoppers at (229) 436-TIPS.
