MOULTRIE,  GA (WALB) –  Moultrie police are investigating a shooting Thursday night that sent a man to the hospital.

People living on 5th Avenue Northwest called 911 around 9:30 after hearing shots. Police found 28-year-old Anthonie Steward lying on the ground in the 200 block with a gunshot wound to his leg.

He told police he was shot while walking. He's at Colquitt Regional Medical Center.
