By Jim Wallace - bio | email ALBANY, GA (WALB) – A Dougherty County man is charged with shooting his cousin during a family fist fight that escalated to gun fire.
32 year old James Sherman is charged with aggravated assault. Investigators say Sherman had a fist fight with one cousin outside a mobile home on Sylvester Road early Saturday morning.
After the fight, Sherman pulled a pistol and fired five shots, hitting another cousin, 23 year Jeremy Law in the leg.
Law was treated for his wound and released from a local hospital.
Sherman was arrested at his home Saturday night, and is in the Dougherty County Jail.
