ALBANY, GA (WALB) – Albany Police say a Hispanic man was robbed at gunpoint Wednesday night around 8:50 PM.
It happened at the mobile home park at 1000 Dunes Avenue in Albany. The victim went out to his car to make sure it was locked. When doing so, he was approached by two black men, one of which had a gun. They demanded money and got away with the victim's wallet and cell phone.
The suspects then went inside the victim's home but did not take anything and ran away.
Police say this is the second time Hispanics have been targeted in that mobile home park this week. Earlier this week a Hispanic family was robbed during a home invasion. In that incident, the victim heard a knock at the door late at night.
When he opened it, a black man with a gun burst in, took their wallets and cell phones, and fled the scene on a bike. Two of the victims in the home were children, a 6-year-old and a 1-year-old.
Police urge anyone with information to call Crimestoppers at 436-TIPS.
