Clinch County bracing for battle with Savannah Christian

HOMERVILLE, GA (WALB) - The Clinch County Panthers are gearing up for their state title game against Savannah Christian this Saturday The Panther's explosive offense has put up at least 33 points in every game this season.


On the other side of the ball the most Savannah Christian has given up is 14.

Head coach Jim Dickerson says something has to give on Saturday and that his team must be ready for a Raiders team that has beaten Charlton County, Lincoln County and Wesleyan on the road during the playoffs.

Head coach Jim Dickerson said. "I don't know that you can prepare a team, when you step in that dome its certainly a great experience. We're just looking at it, we want to make great memories, we hope that we can make a better one by sneaking in a win."

Quarterback Tray Dorsey said. "This is a big game its not just going to the Georgia Dome its the state championship. If we win we'll be in history.

Clinch County has won four GHSA Class A state titles.

Game time is 1:00 p.m. Saturday at the Georgia Dome.
