VALDOSTA, GA (WALB) –A Valdosta toy drive is struggling in this economy to make Christmas a little brighter for children.

Wild Adventures hopes to give Toys for Tots a boost.

The theme park is offering a buy one get one ticket deal if you bring a toy to park during through the weekend.

There are 17 days left until Christmas but here at Wild Adventures Santa's already visiting kids, snow is falling, and Tinker the Talking Christmas Tree is here.

"Imagine a giant Christmas tree that can sing and talk to you and share some stories and get you in the holiday spirit," said Micha Hogan.

More holiday activities include a living Nativity Scene called O Holy Night, Christmas story time, and an elf craft station.

"My personal favorite is let it snow dance party. It is a super high energy dance party."

The park is decked out in 20 miles of Christmas lights and as you admire the lights you can stop off at the away in a manger scene and take a family photo.

And don't forget to bring a toy. The Toys for Tots Marine Program in Valdosta is hurting. It serves nine counties.

"All the loss of jobs in our area is really bad what use to be my donors are now my recipients," said John Gates with Toys for Tots.

If you buy a regular admission and donate a new and unwrapped toy you'll get a free general admission.

So if you're headed out to have some fun at Wild Adventures bring a toy and help a child that may otherwise not get a gift for Christmas.
