LAKELAND, GA (WALB) –A Lanier County man is going to prison for a Lakeland murder.

26-year old Darryl Bernard Scott, Junior pleaded guilty to the shooting death of 22-year old Robert Croft on Talley Avenue last March.

He was sentenced to life in prison.

Prosecutors say Scott shot Croft while stealing marijuana from him.
