ALBANY, GA (WALB) - Donations to the Albany Salvation Army's Red Kettle campaign are down significantly this holiday season.

They hoped to collect about $75,000. So far, the campaign has raised about $18,000.

There are about a dozen Red Kettle collection sites in Albany including at Walmart, K-Mart,  Walgreens, Hobby Lobby, Winn Dixie, and the mall.

The Salvation Army uses the money to provide food, shelter, clothing, and social security assistance all year.
