ALBANY, GA (WALB) –An Albany man is listed in good condition at an Albany hospital after he was shot twice yesterday while playing cards.

Albany Police are looking for 32 year old Derries "Blackberry" Spann.  They call him a "person of interest" in the shooting.

About 5 PM Sunday 37-year old Wayland Phillips was shot twice while playing cards in the 1400 block of East First Avenue.

He was hit once in the abdomen and once in the thigh.  Albany Police Media Manager Phyllis Banks said "They were playing cards underneath a tarp at that location when a suspect walked up and fired two shots at the victim."

Police are still trying to determine the motive of the shooting.
