ALBANY,  GA (WALB) – Police say a 37-year-old man was shot in his stomach and his leg at 1411 East 1st Avenue.

His family took him to the hospital where he underwent surgery.

Just before five Sunday afternoon, Waylon Lemon Phillips was playing cards when two suspects burst into the card game and fired two shots.

Police don't have any suspects.

Phillips is still in the hospital recovering from gun shot wounds.
