VALDOSTA, GA (WALB) –A former Archbold Hospital Chief Financial Officer testified that his former boss knew about fake documents submitted to illegally get millions in medicaid and medicare reimbursements.
William Sellers took the stand in the federal fraud trial of former Archbold CEO Ken Beverly Thursday and Friday.
Beverly is accused of falsifying hospital records to get reimbursements to which they hospital wasn't entitled.
Prosecutors said he did it for four years before he was caught.
Beverly resigned from the hospital in 2008 and was indicted earlier this year.
He is out of jail while on trial.
Sellers pleaded guilty to three counts of falsification of records and is testifying against Beverly.
