A truck crashed into the Albany Civil Rights Institute Thursday night.
The accident shattered the glass and damaged the door frame of the main entrance to the museum on West Whitney Avenue around 7:15.
Witnesses say a man in this truck had been parked in front of the museum for a while. Police are trying to figure out what happened to cause him to crash into the building.
We don't know the driver's name. He was taken to Phoebe Putney for treatment.
There are double doors at the entrance. The second doors weren't damaged so the museum staff was able to secure the building until repairs are made.
