ALBANY, GA (WALB) - With just days left before Albany State hosts Delta State in the division 2 3rd round playoff match up, the Rams might have an ace up their sleeves when it comes to preparing for the Statesmen.
Rams Offensive Coordinator Steve Smith was Delta State's O-Line coach just years 2 years ago before coming to ASU but hold on before you go jumping for joy. The Statesman have a new defensive coordinator that has changed things up a bit since his departure. Still the coach says it will be pretty cool to battle against his former team.
Smith said "It will be a good chance to see some of those guys and watch them compete on the field against our guys. We talked once about it, he said he I'll see you in the quarter finals and I said alright see there and it came to pass, here it is right here. We'll see each other in the quarterfinals"
Game time is 1:00pm at the Albany State Coliseum
