ALBANY, GA (WALB) –Albany car dealers and financial institutions say they see signs of an improving economy in South Georgia.
At the WALB Year End Used Car Blow Out Sale, ten Albany used car dealers have more than 500 cars for sale in one location.
All the dealers say they're sales are increasing, and they're selling higher quality and more expensive cars.
Workers at DOCO Regional Federal Credit Union says they also see improved economic conditions in their increased auto financing.
DOCO Credit Union Vice President of Lending Daryl Salter said "My average car financing has gone up a little bit. It would indicate that yes."
The car dealers say they have a better selection of used cars this year, following the shortage that resulted from the cash for clunkers federal program. The WALB Blow out sale will continue Friday from 10 to 6, and Saturday from 9 to 6 at the Albany Exchange Club Fairgrounds.
And of course, if you can't get out to the fairgrounds, you can shop for cars and trucks at WALB-CARS - dot - com.
