The Albany Humane Society is getting a makeover thanks to some help from a national humanitarian group and national dog food company.

THOMAS COUNTY, GA (WALB) –A Thomas County man charged with shooting and killing his nephew will stand trial in March.
72-year old Byron Griner admitted shooting John Mark Morris in April, but says it was self defense.
Morris was shot in the backyard of a mobile home on Stewart Road.
A pre-motion hearing was held Tuesday at the Jail Justice Center's courtroom in Thomasville.
Griner's trial will begin March 7 at the Thomas County Judicial Center.
