ALBANY, GA (WALB) - Deerfield-Windsor football team is still celebrating their second state title in three seasons.
Gordy Gruhl said. "It is not ideal as far as preparation goes. It is not the start of the season people remember. They remember the way you finish. Hopefully, by the end of the year we are going to end up being a pretty good basketball team." Deerfield-Windsor hosts Brookwood with the girls game starting at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday.

With football season over, Deerfield-Windsor head basketball coach Gordy Gruhl now has all of his players on the court.
One of those is quarterback Banks Kinslow who is an all-state guard for the Knights basketball team that won the state championship last spring.
Kinslow is the only returning starter for head coach Gordy Gruhl.
The coach and his staff know they have plenty of work to do if this team wants to continue their streak of final four appearances.
The season will start Tuesday night at home against Brookwood.
For some members of the football team, the celebration cut short because it is time to play basketball.
