ALBANY, GA (WALB) –The trial of a former Archbold Medical Center president and CEO accused of fraud began Monday in federal court in Valdosta.

A six-count indictment returned against Ken Beverly in April claims he conspired to falsify records for almost four years.

He is accused of working with former Chief Financial Officer Williams Sellers to obtain millions of dollars in Medicare and Medicaid money illegal.

Jury selection began this morning.

The trial is expected to last two to three weeks.
