ALBANY, GA (WALB) –A South Georgia community organization gears up to feed one thousand people for the holidays.

Members of Stand Up Again Outreach packed one thousand food boxes Monday afternoon at the Second Harvest Food Bank.

The food boxes will be distributed at the "My Brother's Keeper 2010" outreach event December 4th at Albany State University.

Other community groups will be there to give information about services provided to help people in need.

Senior Pastor David Wilson said  "It's an idea for our congregation to sow back and give back to the community without the assistance of grants and things like that. People out of our congregation have given out of their own resources to make sure they will be a blessing."

Stand Up Again is made up of members of the Rhema Word Cathedral church.

They raised five thousand dollars and bought the food from the Food Bank to fill the boxes.

They will be distributed at A-S-U's HYPER gym December 4th starting at 8 A-M.
