ALBANY, GA (WALB) - How about them Rams?? Albany State continued its road to perfection on Saturday edging SAC champions Wingate 30-28 at the Albany State Coliseum. The Rams held off a late Bulldog push with a 45 yard TD run by LiRonnie Davis to cement the victory.
The teams exchanged touchdown drives for much of the game but the ASU defense was able to hold the Bulldog offense to 39 yards on the ground. Stanley Jennings completed 11-20 passes for 145 yds and 2tds in the win. LiRonnie Davis pitched in with 94 rushing yards and an onside kick recovery with less than two minutes left in the game.
The Rams will continue its magical season next week hosting Gulf South Conference champs Delta State on Saturday.
