ALBANY, GA (WALB) – Motorcycle riders are getting off their bikes and working to make the holidays extra special for south Georgia Families during the 27th annual Toy Run.

Friday afternoon the Remaining Few Motorcycle Club delivered empty boxes to 50 different businesses to collect food and toys throughout the upcoming weeks.

We caught up with members of the club at the Bayou in Albany.

The group will pick up all the goods on December 12th and deliver them to the Salvation Army.

"When we started it was more or less a hand full of us. We said we needed to do something for Christmas to help kids and it grew into what it is now," said Richie Brown, Remaining Few Motorcycle Club.

The toys and food will be distributed in 12 area counties. Last year in addition to donations they were able to raise about $10,000 for toys and hope to raise that amount or more this year.
