ALBANY, GA (WALB) - An Albany man who broke into a car dealership Thanksgiving night and drove the car out of the building is in jail.

Albany police charged 20-year-old Juccory Phillips for stealing a black Nissan Altima from the Five Star Nissan show room on East Oglethorpe blvd.

He busted through the double doors shattering glass everywhere and drove the car to Early County before running out of gas.

Employees say Phillips was actually in the store the day before. He claimed he was looking to buy a car.

Police have stepped up patrol in the area which gives employees piece of mind. The damage cost the dealership thousands of dollars in repairs to the windows and doors.
