ALBANY, GA (WALB) – A Lee County Church went into the community to give back to those who might otherwise have gone hungry on Thanksgiving Day. They fed at least one hundred people in Albany.

Before noon volunteers from Saints of God House Of Worship Church set up a dining tables and chairs in the Salvation Army parking lot.

This is one of their many outreach projects.

Saints Of God House Of Worship ministered and worshiped with the dozens who showed up for the meal. The pastor said it's about more than just feeding those who are hungry.

"You'll always have the poor and needy with you, and this was part of his program to help the needy people." Said Pastor Arthur Lee Wright, Saints of God House of Worship Church.

The church plans to do another outreach for Christmas, they don't yet know what it will be.
