LOWNDES COUNTY, GA (WALB) –Lowndes county officials are still looking for a solution to a pesky sinkhole.

The sinkhole on Snake Nation Road is more than 150 feet deep.

The county has been working with a company called Geohazards to find a solution.

They're considering moving the road and perhaps using a large cone to try to fill in the sinkhole.

They put together an underground map of the area.

"A second cavern has been discovered just a few yards down from the current cavern it's just not opened up yet so the next week or so will be spent gathering costs for repairs," said Lowndes County spokesperson Paige Dukes.

The county urges you to stay away from that area because the ground is still sinking.
