ALBANY, GA (WALB) –The body of Army Specialist Shannon Chihuahua who was killed in Afghanistan last week will come home to Thomasville this weekend.
People plan to line the streets to pay their respects at 12:30 P-M Sunday.
The route begins at the intersection of Pinetree Blvd & Tallahassee road, down to Hansell Street, turning right and ending at Allen & Allen Funeral Home.
Visitation for Shannon Chihuahua will be next Friday, November 26th, at the funeral home from 6-8pm.
An official flag parade will be held next Saturday, November 27th after his funeral which begins at 1 P-M at the First Baptist Church in Thomasville. The flag parade route is still being worked out by organizers and the Sheriff's Office and will be announced soon.
Thursday, Congressman Sanford Bishop submitted a statement about the heroic Army medic into the Congressional Record. Bishop pointed out the many awards Chihuahua earned during his service including the Purple Heart, Army Achievement Medal, and Combat Medic Badge.
