ALBANY, GA (WALB) – An Albany man pleads guilty to stealing a Pennies for Puppies Donation Jar intended for the Albany Humane Society.

37-year-old Taurus Daniels pleaded guilty to misdemeanor theft by taking and was sentenced to serve 30 days in jail.

Investigators say Daniels took the Pennies for Puppies donation jar from the lobby of the Bush Animal Clinic on October 28th, unaware that the theft was caught on surveillance video.

Police found the jar in Daniels' home on a table next his bed, but most of the money was gone.
