ALBANY, GA (WALB) – Several Albany Water, Gas, and Light customers filed suit against the utility and the city claiming the city is misusing millions of dollars.
WG&L is getting tens of millions in credits back from the Municipal Electric Authority of Georgia. City commissioners voted to split the money between the city, WG&L, and a long-term savings account.
The plaintiffs say that's illegal and the money should be used to give relief to WG&L customers.
