Albany Police seize items in burglary investigations

ALBANY, GA (WALB) - Albany Police say they're making a lot of progress fighting burglaries.

They've arrested dozens of suspects recently. Thursday, they recovered thousands of dollars worth of stolen property.

Police served a search warrant at 810 South McKinley Street at 4:30 p.m. and seized items. Some of which include: a television, speakers, a safe, guns, knives, and a small amount of marijuana.

In the past month,  Albany police have made 60 burglary related arrests.

"We've worked hard trying to remove these suspects off the street," said Cpl. Terrance Bryant with the Albany Police Department." "Burglaries are day-to-day occurrences and my counterparts have worked hard to make these arrests."

Police are questioning three suspects about the roughly $10,000 worth of items recovered.
