Darton soccer falls in overtime

TYLER, TX (WALB) -   The first round match between the #4 and #5 seeds was close as expected at the NJCAA men's soccer tournament.

Unfortunately for the #5 Darton soccer team they suffer a 3-2 loss in overtime to Barton, Kansas Community College.

Barton's Ahmad Bah scores with three minutes left in overtime to send the Cougars to the semifinals.

Darton got off to a great start with Javier Anor scoring early in the first half.

Kevin Ellis for the Cougars tied it up with a goal just two minutes before intermission.

Bah put Barton in front with his first goal of the match early in the second half.

Darton's leading scorer Mynor Perez tied the match 2-2 with a goal at the 26 minute mark in the second half.

Darton faces Iowa Western in the consolation bracket on Friday afternoon.

A win Friday puts Darton in Sunday's consolation final.
