ALBANY, GA (WALB) –   Albany Firefighters are investigating an early morning arson at a South Albany home to determine whether it was an attempt to harm the person who lives there.

About 3:30AM, a person driving by saw flames on the back porch of this home in the 200 block of Valencia Drive.

Firefighters quickly put the fire out before it did much damage.

Arson investigators say someone poured gas on the porch and set it ablaze.

Latasha Wright rents the home. Investigators are trying to determine whether the arsonist targeted her.
