ALBANY, GA (WALB) - The Miami Dolphins will induct former defensive greats Bill Stanfill and Jake Scott into their Honor Roll at halftime of Thursday's game against the Chicago Bears.
Stanfill and Scott were not only members of the Dolphins No-Name defense in the 1970's.
They were also roommates when they played at the University of Georgia.
Scott was the MVP of the Dolphins Super Bowl win that completed Miami's perfect season in 1972.
Stanfill was a five time Pro Bowl selection.
Now living in Albany, the Cairo native Stanfill is excited to be inducted with his good friend and teammate.
Bill Stanfill said. "It is going to mean a lot to see all of the old guys while we are down there. There is a pretty strong contingent of our Bulldog teammates from back then that are going down for the event. It will be an exciting week for us."
Stanfill and Scott are the third and fourth members of the No Name defense to earn the Dolphins Ring of Honor induction.
Miami will play Chicago at 8:00 p.m. Thursday.
