ALBANY, GA (WALB) – Nearly six years after a Moultrie family was killed in one of the most horrific crimes ever in Colquitt County, another man is now charged in the case.
32-year-old Alexander Woods the third is charged with five counts of murder in the November 2004 killings of the Resendez family.
He is already serving time in the Colquitt County Correctional Institution for an unrelated crime.
Woods is the third person charged in the case. Jerry Johnny Thompson and Wilma Stover are awaiting trial.
Tina and Jaime Resendez, their 3-year-old son Juan Carlos Resendez, 50-year old Betty Watts, and 30-year old Liliana Aguilar were shot execution-style in their home on Highway 37 in November 2004.
